How to Become an ORC Member

We look forward to having you join as a club member. To join, please download the ORC Membership Application and drop off the completed form in the mailbox by the boathouse front desk. A signed ORC Waiver form must accompany the membership application for each individual who plans on rowing.

New members will be assessed annual dues based on their starting month and their class of membership as explained in the Membership Categories below. New members are assessed a one-time equipment fee at the time of joining the club as also explained below.

Membership Categories

As a 501(c)(3) corporation organized for charitable and educational purpose, it is the Mission of Orlando Rowing Club to promote the sport of rowing in the Central Florida community. To achieve our mission, we provide a wide variety of rowing programs for rowers with interests varying from recreational rowing to high level National competition.

We offer one class of membership - full member - with 4 categories.

Individual Member: An individual age 18 or older
Family Member: Relatives, all of whom are 18 or older
Substitute Member: A full member who rows not more than 3 times/month
Collegiate Summer Member An individual age 18 or older wishing to row during summer break between June and August

It is expected that all Members will pay their dues and fees according to schedule in order to maintain "good-standing" status. For convenience, Members may use our PalPay account.

$100 Singles/Doubles $200 Quads, 4's & 8's

Membership Dues

Annual Dues: $460 Individual, $700 Family Membership

Semiannual Dues: $230 Individual, $350 Family

* These amounts apply only when paid in a single payment prior to January 31, 2012 or in two equal semiannual payments in January and July 1, 2012. May be paid by check by mail or deposited in boathouse mail box or online.

Quarterly Dues (Annual dues paid quarterly): $140 Individual, $210 Family Membership

Monthly Dues (Annual dues paid monthly): $50 Individual $ 75 Family Membership.

* These payments will be available to be paid online only via member's Mind Body Account.

Summer College Membership: $150 (90 days, online only)
Monthly Sweep Coaching Fees: $50 (Jan-Oct online only)
Monthly Sweep Coaching Fees: $30 (Nov-Dec online only)

Other Fees:

Annual Boat Storage Fees: $100 Singles/Doubles $200 Quads, 4's & 8's
New Membership Assessment/Reinstatement: (Formerly Equipment Fee)
For Individuals: $100
For Family Membership: $200

Members should drop payments off at the boathouse lockbox, or can mail payments to Orlando Rowing Club, P.O. Box 547802, Orlando, FL 32854

PayPal

ORC has a PayPal account, which allows us to accept secure, online credit- and debit-card transactions. What does this mean for you? You can conveniently pay your membership dues, coaching fees, storage - anything "payable to ORC" - online.

Does it cost me anything to pay online? Because PayPal and Visa charge merchants transaction fees to use their services, paying ORC fees online will cost slightly more than cash or check.

It will cost you 2.9% + $0.30 on top of the normal fee to pay online to offset the merchant account fees. Refer to the chart above or contact the ORC Treasurer if you have any questions.

What cards can I use? Visa, MasterCard, Amex, DiscoverCard, debit card, eCheck. Or if you already have a PayPal account, you can do account-to-account transfers.

Do I need to register with PayPal? You can if you want, to keep a balance to perform account-to-account transfers, but no, you don't have to register.

Is it secure? Yes, thousands of individuals and businesses use PayPal, which uses data encryption during transactions. If you still don't feel comfortable using it, you're always welcome to continue paying via cash or check.
