Learn to Sweep Row

Class description: The Introduction to Rowing and Learn to Sweep Row introductory classes offer participants an orientation to sweep rowing equipment, demonstration of basic rowing stroke, boat handling and safety. The goal of the introductory program is to develop a solid foundation in preparation for the Novice sweep program. ("Novice" is an official category for purposes of competition that denotes one year's rowing experience or less.)

After participants complete the Introduction to Rowing (Learn to Row I) program they should continue with the Learn to Sweep Row (Learn to Row II) class. After that, they are encouraged to join ORC, where they can further their training and rowing technique development.
